During my first year teacing high school english a couple kids start messing around in my class. A kid runs past, nearly knocks me over, I grab his lapels to stop him dropping me and chasing the kids he was after. He tell his Mom I tried to strangle him. She reports the incident. Big investigation. Scared the **** out of me. Took some sorting out. Really took some sorting out.
I was told by a parent that I got her daughter in trouble because she's black and I'm a racist. This happened in my classroom...while I was standing underneath a post of Martin Luther King, Jr.
